Why is my television not working?

An explanation on how the television works within your vehicle.

Why your TV may not be working

Your TV is designed to run on 240V mains power, not the vehicle battery.

Check you are connected to a powered site

The TV will only work when your vehicle is plugged into 240V power at a campsite or powered site.

  • Make sure your power lead is connected from the vehicle to the campsite power outlet

  • Confirm the power point is switched on for the television

  • Check the power supply inside the vehicle hasn’t tripped

If you are not on a powered site, the TV will not turn on.

Check the TV signal (aerial & tuning)

Even when powered, the TV may show “No Signal” depending on your location.

This is because:

  • TV reception varies across regions

  • The aerial may need to be adjusted

  • The TV may need to be retuned to local stations

Retuning is quick and can be done by pressing the buttons on your remote control and following the prompts.

Use the vehicle manual (QR code)

Every vehicle has a QR code inside that links to your specific vehicle generation manual.

Scan the QR code and:

  • Select your vehicle generation

  • Go to the TV / Entertainment section

  • Follow the steps to use the TV

This will guide you through the exact process for your vehicle model.

You can stream your own content to the TV

Even if there is no TV reception, you can still use the screen to watch your own content. Most vehicles allow you to:

  • Connect your phone, tablet, or laptop via HDMI

  • Use the TV as a screen to stream Netflix, YouTube, or other apps from your device

Simply plug your device into the TV using an HDMI cable and select the HDMI source on the TV.
