What are Road User Charges (RUC)?

Updated this week

Road User Charges (RUC) are a government-set fee in New Zealand that helps pay for the building and maintaining of roads. They’re calculated based on the distance travelled and apply to certain vehicles, including campervans and motorhomes that use Diesel Fuel.

You can still drive unlimited kilometres with us; however, RUC are simply a separate, government charge based on how far you travel charged at the end of your hire when you return the vehicle to us.

Road User Charges are advised in our Terms and Conditions.
